This covers Apply Kit, the free kit on GitHub and the Apply Kit plugin for Claude. The website svenread.com has its own privacy policy (in German).
What Apply Kit collects
Nothing. Apply Kit has no account, no server, no telemetry and no analytics, in the kit and in the plugin. I never receive your profile, your CVs, your letters or anything else you put into the kit.
Where your data is
In the folder you chose for the kit, for example Documents/apply-kit: your profile, your applications and the PDFs. You can look at every file, and you can delete the folder at any time. If you use git, the kit keeps your own files out of version control.
What reaches Claude
While you use the kit, Claude processes what you share in the conversation, such as your CV and the job ads, under your Claude plan's terms and Anthropic's privacy policy.
Which connections the kit makes
Setup runs npm install, which downloads the kit's packages from the npm registry; Playwright then downloads its Chromium browser once, to render PDFs on your computer. When you give a link to a job ad or ask for research on a company, Claude opens those pages (Claude Code asks you first) or runs a web search. Nothing else.
Buying the Layout Pack
Polar handles the purchase as merchant of record. Your payment and receipt details go to Polar under Polar's privacy policy; I see your email address and your order.
