Hi, I'm Sven.

My work tends to sit at the same edge: where a technical user — a surgeon, an installer, a data center operator, a home inspector — depends on the interface to make consequential decisions. The design challenge is rarely about making something look modern. It's about removing the friction between what someone needs to do and what the software lets them do, while making sure they can trust what they're looking at.

I bridge design and engineering directly. I prototype in production code — React, HTML/CSS, Tailwind — and work with development teams from concept through ship. AI-native tools (Cursor, Claude) are part of the daily workflow, used for speed, not novelty.

I've co-founded two companies. Om7Sense, an energy management platform for data centers, was acquired by Schleifenbauer Group in 2023. Aeyes, an AI-powered inspection reporting tool, is current — I'm acting CEO and sole designer. In between, I led design at Brainlab (surgical navigation software), built a design system from scratch at Vaillant Group (HVAC and building automation), led teams at BörseGo (fintech), and contracted via Toptal for clients including Saudi Aramco, Boston Consulting Group, and McDonald's New Zealand.
